Ritbearing has been providing the industrial market with bearings since 1946. And since we offer high-quality, cost-effective ball and roller bearings many companies will contact us to find out how to become a supplier.
MANUFACTURER QUALIFICATION PROCESS
Each manufacturer represented by Ritbearing must go through a process of identification and qualification. Some of the common questions include:
-
Is a factory visit available to audit the manufacturing process?
-
Are they ISO certified or do they have other certifications?
-
What bearing types do they manufacture?
-
What is the country of origin of the bearings manufactured?
-
Is there an overlap with the existing product lines already offered by Ritbearing’s other suppliers?
-
What is their marketing/ promotion strategy? Do they have an existing wholesaler supplier base in the North American market?
STEP 1: GET QUALIFIED
STEP 2: SUPPLIER MEETING & MARKETING REVIEW
After you’ve been qualified, we meet regularly with the suppliers to review bearing manufacturing and marketing processes that will best suit the customer base.
STEP 3: FINAL APPROVAL
Not all vendors will be approved.
Examples of reasons we would not work with a vendor:
-
Products do not fit into the current marketing approach of Ritbearing.
-
Product quality does not meet the standards of a Ritbearing supplier.
-
Vendor already has an established marketing base in the North American market through other wholesale distributors.
-
Vendor sells directly to the Ritbearing customer base.
-
Unethical business practices of vendor that could jeopardize Ritbearing and Ritbearing’s customers.
We hope this helps clear up some of your questions, but if you have more feel free to contact us.
