Our History
Harold J. Ritter Company was founded in 1946 by Harold J. Ritter to help manage the product surplus of bearings in the industry. In 1998, the company name was changed to Ritbearing Corporation to better reflect the company’s expertise and interests. Following the passing of former President Peter Lambo, Chris Wilson became President in 2019.

Our customers are comprised of industrial distributors, original equipment manufacturers, and wholesalers throughout North America. Ritbearing’s manufacturer network consists of bearing manufacturing plants located in Japan, China, and throughout Europe. We also maintain facilities in Georgia, Ohio, and California to better serve our customers in the United States. Ritbearing’s extensive network of manufacturers ensures quick delivery times and minimized supply chain issues.
Our Products and Services
Ritbearing became an employee-owned company in 2006 and takes pride in employee experience and expertise in bearing distributor sales, application engineering, and procurement.
Ritbearing is the premier wholesaler and distributor of ball and roller bearings. Each manufacturer that is represented undergoes a quality and identification process to ensure their products meet our customer’s standards and industry requirements.
Our goal is to offer high quality, cost effective specialty bearings and bearing solutions to customers.
Custom bearings are provided to our customers in each manufacturer’s box. Customers are provided with the opportunity to audit and review each factory as they desire. We have nothing to hide at Ritbearing. The product quality of our bearing manufacturers speaks for itself.
TIMELINE
1946
Harold J. Ritter Company is established by former Norma Hoffman President Harold J. Ritter in Stamford, CT to deal in surplus bearing trade.
1978
Paul Lelong purchases Harold J. Ritter Company. Company is relocated to White Plains, NY.
1983
White Plains, NY location is closed and sales office/warehouse is placed in Elmsford, NY. Past owner Harold J. Ritter passes away.
1989
Sales office/warehouse in Yorba Linda, CA is established.
1993
Company directive is changed to purchasing new product directly from overseas factories. Begins purchasing from ORS Bearings in Turkey.
1994
Begins purchasing directly from factories in Japan and in China. Begins purchasing directly from IJK Japan.
1996
Ritbearing begins purchasing directly from SMT Japan and JNS Japan.
1996
Acquires CN Precision Bearings Inc. and establishes sales office/warehouse location in Berea, OH.
1998
Company name is changed to Ritbearing Corp and a location is established in NY.
1998
Peter Lambo becomes President.
1999
Elmsford, NY office is closed and moved to Covington, GA. Addition of Ritbearing Corp. Texas sales office/warehouse is created.
2003
Ritbearing purchases directly from URB Group in Barlad, Romania.
2005
Texas sales office/warehouse is closed. Sales office/warehouse in Yorba Linda, CA is closed and a new sales office/warehouse is opened in Temecula, CA.
2006
Ritbearing Corp. becomes an ESOP company.
2010
Ritbearing begins purchasing directly from S4M/ LI-BE Italy.
2011
Ritbearing begins purchasing directly from RKB Switzerland.
2012
Ritbearing Corp. adds Slim Section Bearing manufacturing division in Chino, CA.
2013
Owner Paul Lelong passes away.
2019
Chris Wilson becomes President.
2019
Ritbearing moves Temecula location to Corona, CA.
