HKT BEARINGS: BALL & ROLLER BEARINGS
Formed in 1988, HKT Bearings Ltd. began as a supplier to a major steel producer in Korea. Ritbearing is authorized to import HKT Bearings into the U.S. and can work with you to identify the right bearings for your application.
SPLIT CYLINDRICAL ROLLER BEARINGS
- HKT manufactures split cylindrical roller bearing with a housing for 100 (Light), 200 (Heavy), 300 (Extra Heavy), and 400 (High Speed) bearing series.
- HKT manufactures split cylindrical roller bearings with a standard plummer block for the SPL series.
SERIES HIGHLIGHTS
- Every main component has two halves.
- The outer ring and inner ring have angled joints to ensure continuity of contact with the rollers.
- The two halves of the inner ring are fully fitted on the shaft by two clamping rings.
- HKT uses an auto-locking cage, made with aluminum or brass clips in each half of the cage.
- The blocks are separated into two parts: housing and support. The joint surface between the housing and support is rounded for a self-aligning feature.
- Radial internal clearance can be provided in CN to C5.
CYLINDRICAL ROLLER BEARINGS
- HKT manufactures single row cylindrical roller bearings with a cage.
- HKT manufactures high precision cylindrical roller bearings with a cage.
- HKT manufactures full complement cylindrical roller bearings.
SERIES HIGHLIGHTS
- Single row cylindrical roller bearings with a cage have a high radial load and higher speed capabilities compared to full complement bearings.
- Single row can be made in N, NU, NJ, NUP and NJ + HJ designs.
- High precision cylindrical roller bearings are manufactured in a double row design and are floating type. They can support radial load only and have a separable outer ring.
- The full complement design has the maximum number of rollers and have a high load carrying capacity. They are not designed for high speeds due to the lack of a cage.
- The full complement version can be made in single row, semi-locating types: HSL1818, HSL1829, HSL1830, HSL1822, and HSL1923.
- The full complement version can be made in double row design in a floating type HSL0248 or HSL0249. The semi-locating type is HSL1850. HKT also offers the locating type as HSL0148 or HSL0149.
- Radial internal clearance can be provided in CN to C5.
SPHERICAL ROLLER BEARINGS
- HKT manufactures spherical roller bearings for continuous casters and billet & bloom casters.
- Primary production of spherical roller bearings is in the 22200, 23000, 23200, 24000, and 24100 series.
SERIES HIGHLIGHTS
- Products are used in the Bender, Bow, and Straightener sections as either floating or locating bearings. The sphericals are used in all sections of the billet & bloom casters.
- Features include oil holes or no oil holes in bearings.
- Radial clearance is C3 or C4 typically.
SPECIAL BEARINGS FOR THE STEEL INDUSTRY
- Flexible bearing series is available in a wide range of side ring combinations.
- The 800 series split center bearing with a water-cooled housing for the drive guide roller in a slab caster.
- The SAC (self-aligning cylindrical) series, typically used for slab casters.
- The PRB (pressure roller bearing) series, typically used in pallet car bearings for pellet and sinter plants.
- The ZB (back-up roller) used in a variety of cold mill stands, including 12 roll, 20 roll, or Z-high.
SERIES HIGHLIGHTS
- Flexible bearings work well in applications with high temperatures, space limitations, heavy shock loads, and where dust contamination is prevalent. Flexible bearings consist of: Spring outer ring, Spring inner ring, Cylindrical + cage assembly, and Side rings.
- The 800 series split cylindrical bearings also work well in applications with high temperatures, space limitations, heavy shock loads, and where dust contamination is prevalent. Components include: Bearing, Outer ring, Inner ring, Clamping ring, Water cooled housing, Labryinth ring and Laminar ring.
- The SAC (self-aligning cylindrical) offers a full complement of rollers which can accept heavy loads. SAC bearings perform well under higher speeds and heavy load applications.
- The PRB (pressure roller bearing) offers a reinforced outer ring to work under shock load conditions. A full complement of rollers enclosed by a sealing ring ensures that foreign contamination stays out of the bearings in harsh application settings.
- ZB (back-up bearings) offer a special section height tolerance. They are produced in three section heights: H1, H2 and H3. These bearings have high running accuracy to ensure quality thickness and flatness with the steel material being produced.
